How secure is your Candidate data? CTC People has passed Salesforce’s stringent Security Review!

All businesses that keep data about customers are concerned about breaches of privacy of that data. The recent issues on Social Media platforms has brought data security and the impacts of a breach to front of mind. Even more so now that the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme that started on the 22nd of February puts in place a new legal requirement for organisations to notify the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner and the individuals affected by a breach of their personal information.

CTC People is built into the world’s #1 Cloud Platform, Salesforce.com, a platform that puts data privacy and security at the forefront of it’s service. While Salesforce.com regularly tests the security of its services with penetration tests, CTC People has further tested their products with an independent security review.

Salesforce Security Review is all about making the most trusted cloud application ecosystem. Conducting the security review helps us build a culture of trust by ensuring that the CTC People meets a set of security standards and best practices. We recently passed our last set of tests which we are extremely pleased about.

You are probably aware that on May 25, 2018, a new privacy law called the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) takes effect in the European Union (EU). The GDPR expands the privacy rights of EU individuals and places new obligations on all organisations that market, track, or handle EU personal data. But did you know that Salesforce and CTC People are ready for GDPR? Find out more at GDPR readiness with Salesforce

Of course data security relies on you and your staff remaining vigilant and having solid password and access policies in place, but being backed by a supplier that has been building this security into the platform since inception, makes your job of compliance that much easier. So that you and your customers can rest easy, assured that at least your technology partner takes data privacy as seriously as you should.
